Welcome to My Blog¶
I have been writing on Medium for a while now, but I wanted a space that is fully mine. A place where I control the layout, the reading experience, and the content lifecycle. No algorithmic feeds, no paywall prompts, no claps.
What to expect¶
This blog covers the things I work on day to day:
- Platform engineering — building internal developer platforms, golden paths, and self-service infrastructure
- Cloud infrastructure — AWS, GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, and the glue that holds multi-cloud environments together
- AI tooling — Bedrock, model routing, cost tracking, and making LLMs practical for engineering teams
- DevOps culture — CI/CD, observability, incident response, and the human side of operations
How this site works¶
This blog is built with MkDocs Material — a static site generator powered by Markdown. Posts are plain .md files with YAML frontmatter, and the build produces clean HTML deployed to Cloudflare Workers on blogs.vijayrmourya.com.
Here is the pipeline at a glance:
graph LR
A["Write .md"] --> B["mkdocs build"]
B --> C["HTML + CSS"]
C --> D["Cloudflare Workers"]
D --> E["blogs.vijayrmourya.com"]
No JavaScript frameworks. No client-side rendering. Just Markdown in, HTML out.
Why not just use Medium?¶
Medium is great for discovery, and I will keep cross-posting there. But:
- I want full control over presentation and SEO
- I want posts to live at a URL I own forever
- I want syntax highlighting that actually works for infrastructure code
- I want to write in Markdown in my editor, not in a web WYSIWYG
The best time to start a blog was five years ago. The second best time is now.
